Emma M. Larson, 80, Callaway, Minn., died Friday, Jan. 2, 2004, in Emmanuel Nursing Home, Detroit Lakes, Minn.
Emma M. Larson was born Jan. 19, 1923, in Germany. She moved with her family to Fort Dodge, Iowa. She graduated from Eagle Grove (Iowa) High School in 1941. She married Alvin Larson May 22, 1942, in Badger, Iowa. In 1952 they moved to Dexter, Minn., where they farmed. In 1966 they moved to Laredo, Texas, to work as missionaries. In 1968 they moved to White Earth, Minn. From 1975 to 1997 they lived in various Minnesota and Iowa communities where he served as a pastor. They later moved to Detroit Lakes. He died in 2002.
She is survived by three sons, A. David (Joanne), Santa Anna, Calif., James (Ruth), El Cajon, Calif., Paul (Dawn), Callaway; two daughters, Marlene Unverzagt, Detroit Lakes, Mary (Don) Greven, Newark, Ill.; 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Today from noon to 2 in Faith Free Lutheran Church, Detroit Lakes. Funeral: Today at 2 in the church. Burial: Vernon Anderson Memorial Cemetery, Elbow Lake, Minn.
