March 16, 1918 -- July 4, 1935

Viola Marie Brown, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Brown of Route 1, was born at Barron, Wisconsin April 16, 1918, and died Thursday, July 4, after a short illness at the age of 17 years, two months, and 18 days. Besides her parents she is survived by four sisters: Anna (Mrs. H. M. Knowlton), Mina, Esther and Faith; two brothers: James and George; her grandmother, Mrs. Anna Claude of Woolstock, Ia., who attended the funeral, and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Sunday, July 7, at 12:30 at the home and at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist church of Barron, the Rev. R. Spangler officiating, with interment at Wayside cemetery. Relatives from away who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. James A. Claude and daughter Della, Mr. and Mrs. Jule R. Z. Claude, all of Eagle Grove, Ia., Herbert and L. P. Claude, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Claude and Mrs. Philip Grandgeorge, all of Woolstock, Ia.
