Marlyn Leonard Kelly - August 24, 2009

Marlyn Kelly, 77, of Iowa Falls, Iowa, passed away Monday, August 24, 2009, at his home. No formal funeral services are planned per Marlyn's request. Memorials may be directed to the family c/o his daughter: Janna Biery, 612 1/2 East Second Street, Iowa Falls, Iowa, 50126. The Linn's Funeral Homes Iowa Falls Chapel is assisting the family with Marlyn's wishes.

Marlyn Leonard Kelly was born March 21, 1932, at Popejoy, Iowa, the son of Bernice Betsy [Jacques] and Leonard Earl Kelly. He graduated from the Popejoy Community Schools. On August 18, 1962 he was united in marriage to Sharon Kay Rush at Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He had been employed by Aldinger Farm Service and then by the City of Iowa Falls as a Street Superintendent. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Iowa Falls.

Marlyn Kelly is survived by his children: Todd [Cheryl] Kelly of Princeton, Missouri, Janna [Murl] Biery of Iowa Falls, Iowa, Becky [Randy] Wiemer of Grand Junction, Colorado, Randy [Patti] Kelly of Shelby, Nebraska; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; his siblings: Bev Spencer of Iowa Falls, Iowa, Dennis [Verdell] Kelly of Dows, Iowa, Pat [Vern] Ubben of Ackley, Iowa; a sister-in-law: Carol [Mark] Kemper of Elwood, Iowa, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Leonard & Bernice Kelly, wife Sharon Kay, son Danny, and grandson Blake Kelly.
