Funeral services for James Nichols of Pine City, were conducted Wednesday, Dec. 9, 1970, at 2 p.m. from Swanson Funeral chapel with Rev. Al Soderfelt officiating. Casket bearers were Al Blesener, Melvin Davidson, Archie Doran, Joseph Bartos, Frank Bartos, and William Plessel. Interment was made at Hustletown cemetery. James Nichols was born June 5, 1893 in Clarion, Iowa to Mr. and Mrs. William Nichols. He came to Pine City at the age of 5 years. Mr. Nichols, a retired farmer, passed away December 7, at the age of 77 years, at the Lakeside Nursing Home. He had been a patient there for several months. Survivors include three brothers, Arlo, Pine City; Howard, Moose Lake and Tom of St. Cloud.
