Funeral services for Arlo Nichols of Pine City were conducted Tuesday, December 29, at 11 a.m. from the Swanson Funeral chapel with Rev. E. James Scobbie officiating. Burial was in Hustletown cemetery. Casket bearers were Joseph Stransky, Joseph Bartos, Frank Bartos, Al Blesener, Kermit Wimmer and William Plessel. Soloist was Susan Ward and Mrs. A. W. Smith was organist. Arlo Nichols was born January 30, 1890 at Clarion, Iowa, to William and Mary (Mauer) Nichols. He passed away Saturday, Dec. 26 at the Agnes Hotel, at the age of 80. Survivors include two brothers, Howard of Moose Lake and Tom of St. Cloud.
