ca. September - October 2005Arvilla Jessie Haviland, 92, PO Box 67, Almond, Wisconsin died Thursday, Sept. 29, 2005, at St. Michael's Hospital in Stevens Point. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Almond United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Richard Fite officiating. Interment will be in the Almond Village Cemetery in Almond. Visitation will be at the church from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday. Memorials to the charity of one's choice in her memory will be appreciated by the family in lieu flowers. Hardell-Holly Funeral in Almond assisted the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Haviland was born April 17, 1913, in the town of Almond, a daughter of the late Edwin and Lena (Krohn) Weber. She was married to Harold Ammel on April 11, 1931, in Almond. He died in 1967. She was married to Arthur Haviland on July 21, 1994, at the Red Mill Chapel in Waupaca. She worked as a bookkeeper at Wysocki Farms in Plover for many years. She was a member of Almond United Methodist Church in Almond.
Survivors include her husband, Arthur Haviland, Almond; one granddaughter, Linda Payne, Wautoma; two great-grandsons; one great-great-granddaughter; two stepdaughters, Susan (Roy) Erickson, Eagle Grove, Iowa, and Sally Yohn, Plainfield; 11 stepgrandchildren; 17 great-stepgrandchildren; and one great-great-stepgranddaughter. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Joyce Marie Smith; and two brothers, Herbert Weber and Albert Weber.
