Willis Lee "Bill" Wilson of Colorado Springs died Wednesday at his home after a long illness. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, with the Rev. Robert Sharp officiating. Bullock Mortuary, 1375 E. Hampden Ave., Englewood, is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Wilson was born in Mobridge, S.D., to Quinn and Blanche (Hockenson) Wilson. He had lived in Colorado Springs since 1971. Mr. Wilson served in the Navy during World War II and was discharged with the rank of chief boatswains mate. He served on the island of Corregidor and in the Bataan Death March. He was a Japanese prisoner of war for 3 1/2 years. He was a member of Calvary Bible Church and a life member of Knob Hill Disabled Veterans. He was married Aug. 11, 1946, in Renwick, Iowa, to Beryl K. Mimbach, who survives. Mr. Wilson also is survived by two sons, Richard of Colorado Springs and Ronald of Denver; five daughters, Janelle Clark of Saginaw, Mich., Carol Lynn Johnson of Anoka, Minn., Elizabeth Mandarich and Mary Ella Quinones, both of Denver, and Amy Aguilar of Pueblo; a brother, Richard of Mundelein, Ill.; and 12 grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Bible Church, 865 Westmoreland Road, Colorado Springs 80907.
