West Des Moines, IA--Fern Zagar, 85, of the 1200 block of 32nd Street died of a heart ailment Monday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Glendale Cemetery. Mrs. Zagar was born in Vincent and had lived in Des Moines most of her life. She was a retired waitress with the Embassy Club and a member of Capitol Hill Lutheran Church. She enjoyed working outdoors. She is survived by a son, Talbert of Des Moines two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Westover Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Camp Sunnyside.
