Harry A. Lewis, 76, of 1919 Second St. SW, died Thursday, Aug. 25, 1994, in Mercy Medical Center after a long illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Brosh Chapel. Burial: Czech National Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the chapel. The Rev. David Young will officiate. Survivors include his wife, Rose; a daughter, Sandra Anthony and husband Marc of Baton Rouge, La.; three sons, Don and wife Jean, Dick and wife Arlene, and Dennis and wife Linda, all of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Dorothy Farr and husband Virge of Dunedin, Fla.; 10 grandchildren, Marc, Lynn, Sue Ann, Doug, Lori, Bill, Bob, Deb, Lisa and Keri; and a great-granddaughter, Nicole. He was preceded in death by a sister and brother.

Born July 4, 1918, in Eagle Grove, Harry was the son of Harry M. and Gladys Miner Lewis. He married Rose Karlik on Jan. 29, 1938, in Cedar Rapids. He was a machinist at Iowa Manufacturing until his retirement in 1980. He served with the Navy during World War II. A memorial fund has been established.
