Mary Jo Wilson passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, after her seven year battle with COPD, with her husband and family at her side. She was the daughter of Floyd and Margaret (Orr) Templeton who preceded her in passing. Mary Jo grew up in central Iowa and graduated from Goldfield High School in Goldfield, Iowa, in 1959. After graduation, she attended cosmetology school in Fort Dodge, Iowa, and worked in that field for almost 10 years.

Mary Jo married Wayne Wilson on May 25, 1963, in Eagle Grove, Iowa. Wayne then whisked her off to northern Wisconsin where they resided in Cumberland for seven years. In 1970, a job change for Wayne came about, resulting in establishing a home in Menomonie where she resided until her death. In 1976, their two children started school and Mary Jo went to work at 3M where she was employed for the next 20 years, retiring in 1996. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Menomonie where services will be held.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Wayne; a daughter, Kelly (Kiril) Kustief of Mauston; a son, Patrick (Angie) Wilson of Elk Mound; and four grandchildren, Kevin and Kalon Kustief and Adam and Maisah Wilson. She is also survived by two sisters and one brother, Patricia (Melvin) Waller of Maple Grove, Minn., Barbara (Ellis) Macha of Renwick, Iowa, and Jim (Joan) Templeton of Waterloo, Iowa, and several nephews and nieces. Mary Jo enjoyed traveling, being with family and friends and especially having her grandchildren around. A memorial service will be at the United Methodist Church, 2703 Bongey Drive, Menomonie, at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008, with Rev. Don Gribble officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church or the Dunn County Fish & Game Scholarship Fund. Olson Funeral Home.
