NOBLESVILLE, IN -- Robert E. Trout, 84, Noblesville, died May 28, 2009, at Riverview Hospital, Noblesville. Mr. Trout was a salesman for M.S. Churchman Construction Equipment. He retired as a deputy prosecutor in Hamilton County. He was born Feb. 16, 1925, in Eagle Grove, Iowa, the son of Manning and Beulah Fielder Trout. He was a 1949 graduate of Iowa State University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering. He attended law school when he was 50 and graduated when he was 55. He and Lois Congdon were married June 22, 1949, in Ames, Iowa. She preceded him in death. Mr. Trout served from February 1943 to June 1945 in the U.S. Army/Air Force. He is survived by a son, Andrew Trout, McCordsville, and a brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Frances Trout, Elkhart, Ind. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Robert "Rusty" Trout, and a sister, Helen Mayer. Graveside services with military honors will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Crownland Cemetery, Noblesville. Jackley-Landrum Funeral Home, Elwood, is handling the arrangements.
