Albert (Bob) Frederick Madison, the son of Albert and Lydia (Werling) Madison, was born June 6, 1916, in Goldfield, Iowa. He passed away Sunday, July 22, 2007, at Fairmont Medical Center in Fairmont, Minnesota, at the age of 91. He began his education in the Goldfield country school and later moved to Ormsby, Minnesota with his family, where he continued his education. In 1932, the family moved to Halfa, Iowa where he worked as a farmhand and drove a school bus. On May 11, 1940, Bob was united in marriage to Burneile Watts in Worthington, Minnesota. After their marriage, the couple made their home in the Armstrong, Iowa, area for 23 years where they began raising their family and Bob was a dairy and grain farmer. He also custom baled hay and shelled corn. In 1963, they moved to Ringsted and continued to farm. They moved into the town of Ringsted in 1981. In his leisure time Bob enjoyed woodworking, fishing and was an avid fan of baseball and basketball. He enjoyed many visits from family and friends. He also enjoyed his many John Deere Collectibles. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Armstrong.

Grateful for having shared Bob's life are his wife, Burneile of Ringsted; daughter, Marlys Nelson of Coon Rapids, Minnesota; daughter-in-law, Rebecca Marten and her husband, Gene of Billings, Montana; three grandchildren, Dawn, Amber and James; great-granddaughter, Mina; brother, Edwin Madison and his wife, Maytha of Estherville, Iowa; sister-in-law, Adeline Madison of St. James, Minnesota; brother-in-law, Vernon Torreson of Wallingford, Iowa; one aunt; one uncle; many nieces and nephews; and numerous cousins. Preceding Bob in death were his son, Kenneth Madison; his parents; two brothers, Orville and Bernard; sister, Alice Torreson and an infant sister Ialeen.
