Harold Roskamp

Harold was born September 19, 1918, in Kanawha, Iowa, the son of John K. and Mary (Eekhoff). He attended Iowa State University in Ames and went on to serve his Country in the United States Navy. On September 5, 1950, he was united in marriage to Mae Helena Roskamp in Waterloo. Harold worked in the family business his entire life, Roskamp Manufacturing, serving as President from 1978 until his retirement in 1988. He was a member of Covenant Orthodox Presbyterian Church, where he served as senior elder and Gideons International. Harold is survived by his wife, Mae of Cedar Falls; daughters, Jane (Stephen) Barnett of Dayton, TN and Sarah (David) Miller of Chattanooga, TN; son, John (Jinhi) Roskamp of Walker, IA; eleven grandchildren; one great grandchild; and three sisters, Pearl Kortenhoeven, Cornelia Kuiper of Mt. Shasta, CA, and Jane Mizaur of Iowa City. Harold died Monday, June 19, 2006, at Satorti Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Clarence and Rev. Cromwell Roskamp; and two sisters, Hermina Scorsone and Tressa Hansberger.
