Bertha Springer dies at 82 years

Services for Bertha Helen Springer, 82, were held Saturday afternoon at Fulton Funeral Home with Rev. M.L. Jones officiating. Burial was in Belmond cemetery. Pall bearers were George Baxter, George Waddington, Asa White, Donald and Duane Dorr and Cortland Luick. Mrs. Springer came to Belmond as a young bride in 1899 and lived the rest of her years here until advancing age prompted her move to Spencer two years ago to live with her son Wayne. Her death occurred Wednesday of last week at a Spencer nursing home, where she had been a patient for nine days. Bertha Helen Schwartz was born April 3, 1879 at Turner Junction Ill. youngest of the three children of Louis and Mary Jartz Schwartz.
