Charles G. F. Pommerer

Charlie Pommerer was born in Germany and at the age of 17 came to Iowa. He married Mary Schwartz married in Belmond, Iowa on December 24, 1890. In 1903 the Pommerer family came to North Dakota from Minnesota in a covered wagon with their cow tied behind. Charlie worked for Bisadeau and Miff doing fall work. Later they moved on Mr. Cole's farm south of Tower City and lived there until 1944 when they purchased a home in Tower City where they lived until their death. Charlie and Mary had seven children: Louis, John, Harry, Mary, Charlie, Bertha, and August. There were 16 grandchildren. He died in Belmond, Iowa.
