Funeral services for Chris Rogness, 94, were held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Zoar Lutheran Brethren Church, Lake Mills, IA. The Rev Morris Vold will officiate. Interment will be in Newark Cemetery, Vincent, IA. Mr Rogness died Tuesday, December 8th, 1981, at the Lake Mills Nursing Home. He was born December 4, 1887, at Thor Iowa, the son of Ole and Josephine Rogness. He was a retired farmer. He married Ingeborg Westre October 18, 1908, at Clarkfield, MN. She died September 24, 1976. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Helen Nelson, Fort Dodge, IA, and Mrs. Paul Erickson, Pelican Rapids, MN and three sons, Orren, Hopkins, MN, Tilman, Indialantic, Fl, and Delos, Esterville, IA; 10 grandchildren,; 14 great grandchildren; two brothers, Alfred, Joice, IA, Judine, Forest City, IA, and two sisters, Mrs Mabel Groat, Fort Dodge, IA, and Mrs. Oscar (Esther) Bidney, Emmons, MN. He was preceded in death by is parents, his wife, two sons; two daughters; four sisters; and three brothers.
