David M. Reinier was born November 6, 1949 in Carroll, Iowa, the son of Harold and Frieda (Reil) Reinier. At age 2 he moved with his parents to Toledo, Iowa where he attended school and later graduated from South Tama High School with the Class of 1968. On November 22, 1969, David married Vickie Weston of Thor, Iowa at St Patrick’s Catholic Church in Tama, Iowa. David and Vickie have made their home in the Tama-Toledo area for over 31 years. He worked for Chemtron Corporation in Tama for 10 years, before beginning his employment with Lennox Industries in Marshalltown, Iowa on November 22, 1983. David had been fighting cancer for the past few years and had been a patient at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa, where he died Friday 16, 2001 at the age of 51 years. In his spare time, David enjoyed NASCAR racing, rebuilding cars, and playing with his dogs. He is preceded in death by a sister Mary Denise. David is survived by his wife Vickie; sons SSGT Clint Reinier, his wife Elena, and their sons Jacob and Clayton of Whiteman AFB in Missouri; Kirk Reinier, his wife Lisa, and their children Emily, Kirsten, Jacob, and Levi of Grinnell, Iowa; and daughter Katie Reinier of West Des Moines, Iowa. He is also survived by his parents and his sister, Rebecca Reinier-Furhman of Adel, Iowa, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2001 at 10:30 am, at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Tama, Iowa. Visitation will be held at Henderson-Overton Funeral Home in Toledo on Friday, March 23, 2001 from 5-7pm.
