Ellsworth Groom died Tues May 22, 1945. Born in Belmond, IA Oct 31, 1870, came to Portland 45 years go. Telegraph operator for the Northern Pacific terminal company, retired in 1937. Burial Lincoln Memorial Park, vault entombment. Survivors wife, Berenice Groom, two daughters, Mrs. Helen Stark and Mrs. Vivian McClune, and a son, Jack Groom, all of Portland, son Stytzel X. Groom, San Francisco, and four grandchildren.
