Jeffrey "Jeff" Quigley, 48, of 1001 N. Fifth St., died Tuesday (April 15, 1997) at North Iowa Mercy Health Center East, Mason City. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N. Fourth St., with Mark Doebel officiating. Interment will be in St. Francis Catholic Church Cemetery, Belmond. Visitation will begin after 3 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to Jeff Quigley Memorial Fund.

Jeff was born Jan. 13, 1949, in Belmond, the son of Paul and Margaret Jane (Ambrose) Quigley. He graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1967 and then graduated from NIACC in Mason City in 1969. While attending NIACC, Jeff drove school bus for the Clear Lake Schools. Jeff married Cathryn Miller on Oct. 19, 1994, in DeSmet, S.D. Jeff worked at Camex Anhydrous Ammonia Plant, rural Garner, for 10 years. Jeff started working at Hanson Marine in 1983 and was service manager there until 1995. Jeff then opened his own business called Quigley Crafts. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, golfing, looking at and collecting cars. His friends and family were especially important to him.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Cathryn Quigley of Clear Lake; a son, Jason Quigley of Clear Lake; his mother, Margaret Jean Quigley of Clear Lake; a brother, Mick Quigley and his wife, Pam, of Clear Lake; two sisters, Pat Graham and her husband, David, of Glenrock, Wyo., and Peggy Ballard and her husband, James, of Lake Crystal, Minn.; sister-in-law, Sheryl Quigley Butcher, Mason City; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Paul Quigley; and his grandparents.
