Arthur Frank Butenhoff passed away at the Spooner Memorial Hospital on Friday at the age of 79 years, 5 months and 25 days. He was born on July 27, 1892 in Franklin County, Dows, Iowa, the son of Gustave and Bertha Butenhoff. In 1916 he came to the Trego community and was united in marriage to Ione Yeazle in Spooner on November 1, 1917. To this union three children were born. He worked for the Chicago & North Western Railroad for several years, then farmed until his retirement. He was a member of the Trego Congregational Church. Two sisters and four brothers preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Ione; two daughters, Mrs. Dean (Lorraine) Thompson of Earl, Mrs. Frank (Bertha) Gruenhagen of Birchwood, Lloyd of St. Paul, Minn., one sister, Mrs. Earl (Bertha) Thomas of Earl, one brother, Gustave (Slim) of Shell Lake, also 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren
and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on Monday at 1:30 at the Trego Congregational Church with Rev. John Soward officiating. Burial was in the Earl Cemetery. Casket bearers were Harry Lauterbach, James Yeazle, Donovan Holt, Curt Scribner, Wayne Thompson and Norman Butenhoff.
