Russell James Tideback, 77 died December 17, 2000 at Aitkin, MN. Memorial services will be arranged this summer. Condolences may be sent to Marvis Tideback, MaryHill Manor, 215 3rd St. S.E., Apt. 218. Aitkin, MN 56431. Russell was born in Belmond, August 21, 1923 to William and Minnie (Kurtz) Tideback. He was a Veteran of WW II. He served in the Army, attached to the Aviation Engineers at South Pacific, in Okinawa, Philippines, and Japan. He was a resident of Belmond until 1994 and a resident of Malmo, MN, on Mille Lac Lake from 1994 until 2000. Preceding him in death were his parents; a sister, Marge Baker; and a brother, George Tideback. Survivors are his wife, Marvis Tideback of Aitkin, MN; his son, Larry Tideback of Malmo, MN; two granddaughters and their husbands, Lynn and Dale Robbins of Klemme, and Jodi and Mike Foster of Lakewood, CO; two great granddaughters and their husbands, Jenna and Lea of Lakewood, CO; one sister and brother-in-law, Velma and Lloyd Miller of Des Moines; two brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Phyllis Tideback of Des Moines and Duane and Kaye Tideback of Sun Valley, CA.
