April 13, 2004Sidney Q. Tudor, 90, of Webster City, died Sunday, April 11, 2004 at the Hamilton Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Foster Funeral Home, with Rev. Howard Hunt officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and prior to the services on Wednesday.
Sidney Quinn Tudor, son of Roy and Bessie Thompson Tudor, was born June 21, 1913 at Shirley, Il. As a child, he moved with his parents to the Woolstock area and attended a rural school west of Woolstock and Webster City high school. He started farming in the Woolstock area. On November 19, 1934, he married Mary Margaret Jones at Eagle Grove. The couple farmed in the Woolstock area for 8 years, then Belmond for 2 years. They moved to a farm east of Webster City, which they operated for 32 years. In 1977, they moved to Webster City and he retired from farming in 1979. Mrs. Tudor died May 2, 1998. He had moved to the Crestview Apartments in 2002. The couple had wintered at Mesa, Az.
Mr. Tudor is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, RaeJean and Dale Hultgren of Aurora, Il.; and son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Midge Tudor of Webster City; grandchildren, Monica (Brian) Sampias; Eric (Kristin) Hultgren; Cindy (Jim) Henning; Rick (Jonna) Tudor; Mike (Becky) Tudor; 10 great-grandchildren, Cole, Madeline and Ava Sampias; Katie and Kellie Henning; Ashley and Kasie Tudor; Karinne, Britany and Alexis Tudor; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Beulah Severson and Madeline Wright; brother, Eldon Tudor. He was a member of the United Church of Christ - Congregational at Blairsburg.
