A memorial service was held for Betty Jane Davis at the Sylmar Manor Community Building on November 30, 2008. Betty passed away on Veteran's Day, November 11, 2008 at her home in Sylmar Manor after a brief illness. Interment was in Glen Haven Memorial Park in San Fernando, California. Betty was born March 6, 1920 at the home of her parents Clifton R. and Lucile (Richards) Campbell in Clarion. She grew up and attended school in Clarion. She was part of the High School debate team. She moved to California in the early 50's, raised four children and worked in administration at Olive View Hospital in Sylmar as well as the Napa County Conservation Agency in her later years. She is survived by three daughters-Bonnie Winslow of Costa Mesa, California; Penelope Page of Sierra Vista, Arizona; Carolyn Bangerd and husband, Greg of Sylmar, California; one son, John Davis and wife, Susie of Littleton, Colorado: one sister-in-law, Leona Campbell of Ventura, California; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother Richard (Dick) Campbell; two sons-in-law; and one granddaughter, Briene Bangerd.
