FRANK A. VAKSDAL, born on February 28, 1927, Eagle Grove, Iowa, was taken from our embrace into Heaven's Love and Grace April 7, 2009. During his Tour of Duty in the U.S. Navy he was part of a Task Force to re-explore the South Pole on an Antarctic Expedition under the leadership of Admiral Richard Byrd. Frank is survived by his wife Patricia Lynch, son and daughter in law Van and Donna Vaksdal and grandson Mathew Vaksdal all of Houston and daughter Arlis Anderson of El Centro, California. Visitation will be Thursday, April 9, 4-6pm at Concordia Lutheran Church, 4115 Blalock Rd., Houston, TX 77080. Services will be held Friday, April 10 at 2pm at Concordia Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Concordia Lutheran Church.
