Eagle Grove man dead in shooting

EAGLE GROVE - An Eagle Grove man was found shot to death Wednesday night, according to the Wright County Sheriff's Office. Deputies reported that the body of 40-year-old Mark Hanson was found at a rural Wright County residence. Investigators were summoned there at about 8:45 p.m. after someone called 911 to report finding the body, according to sheriff's office reports. No arrests have been made in connection to the incident. The exact location where the body was found has not been revealed by the sheriff's office. However, investigators said that the site was not Hanson's home. The death is being investigated by the Wright County Sheriff's Office and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.
