Funeral Service on 90th Birthday for Jake Gram

GOODELL — Funeral services for Jake Gram, 90, will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Nelson Funeral Home, Cedar Falls, with the Rev. Halger Neilson of the Bethany Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in the Amsterdam Cemetery, Goodell, with graveside services at 2 p.m. Mr. Gram was born in Denmark Nov. 18, 1867. He came to Iowa at the age of 15; He was married to Katrene Skow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mads Skow, Goodell, in 1888. They farmed on the Burgess farm in this vicinity until 1913, then went to a farm in Minnesota. They have lived in Cedar Falls 22 years. Mrs. Gram died 17 years ago. He is survived by five sons, Bert, Rowan; Harry, North Cedar; Chris, Frederick, Wis.; Clarence, Waterloo; Jess, Cedar and one daughter, Mrs. Floyd (Caroline) Brown, Misslenville, Pa.
