JACKSONVILLE, FLA. — Earl Deyo, 7083 Hanson Drive, N., Jacksonville, Fla. 32210, died Wednesday morning, Jan. 28, at Jacksonville. The former Oelwein resident was 61. Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 30, at 2 p.m. at the Lake Shore United Methodist Church with burial in Memory Gardens. Jacksonville. Hardage-Gidden Funeral Home, 5753 Blanding Blvd., Jacksonville, is handling arrangements. Mr. Deyo is survived by his wife, the former Alice Horecka; three daughters, one son and three grandchildren. The children are Debbie Sims, Leigh Sapp, Curtis Deyo and Nancy Deyo. His mother, Mrs. Emma Deyo, two sisters, Winifred, and Carol, Mrs. Duane Avery, all of Phoenix, and a brother, James Deyo, Yuma, Ariz., also survive. Mr. Deyo was preceded in death by his father, Earl, and a brother, Dan. He was born in Clarion and grew up in Oelwein where he graduated from Oelwein High School. He attended Coe College and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was retired from Thermo King Corporation in Jacksonville. He was recuperating from injuries suffered in a fall before Christmas.
