Guy E. Feeley, 88, of Fort Dodge, died Thursday, March 5, 2009 at Trinity Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 9th in the chapel of Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with Rev. Sunny Dominick officiating. Burial will be in Corpus Christi Cemetery with military graveside rites presented by the VFW Post 1856. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Surviving are his sons, David and his wife Margaret of Dothan, AL, Larry and his wife Ginger of Fort Dodge, Ron and his wife Virginia of Fort Dodge; daughter, Cathy Hewett and her husband Perry of Fort Dodge; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Mabel (Kudolph) Feeley; his wife, Loris in 2004; a grandson Todd; a great-grandson, Isaiah; and six brothers.

Guy E. Feeley was born February 16, 1921 in Eldora, Iowa. As a child he moved with his family to Eagle Grove and graduated from Eagle Grove High School. On October 20, 1942 he was united in marriage to Loris M. Bockert and they established their home in Fort Dodge. He then entered the U.S. Army, serving in Burma and the China Theatre during WWII. Following the war, he returned to Fort Dodge and became employed as a driver for Union Freightways and later worked for P.I.E. until his retirement. Guy was a member of the VFW Post 1856, the Fort Dodge Garden Club, and past member of the Eagles Lodge and the American Legion. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
