Jerald J. Keeling, 68, of Janesville, Iowa, died July 17, 2008, at Allen Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa. Jerald was born October 20, 1939, in Goldfield, Iowa the son of John and Gladys (Fisher) Keeling. He was united in marriage to Lucille Ruhs on December 1, 1957, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Jerald was a Drill Operator and later an Inspector at John Deere until his retirement in January of 1989. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, gardening and playing the guitar and fiddle.
Those thankful for having shared in Jerald's life include his wife of 50 years, Lucille, children; Patricia Wolff of Waterloo, Iowa, Marcia (Ed) Craft of Parkersburg, Iowa, David (Misti) Keeling of Waterloo, Iowa, and Mark Keeling of Williamsburg, Iowa; special grandson Jeremy Craft, brothers; Edward (Angie) Keeling of Waverly, Ray (Donna) Keeling of Arizona, Howard (Dolores) Keeling of Waterloo, Leslie (Jackie) Keeling of Brooklyn, Iowa, Gene (Sharon) Keeling of Waverly, sisters; Florence Posekany of Sheffield, Iowa, Margaret Hayes of West Plaines, Missouri, Charlotte Hansen of Brooklyn, Iowa; special sister and brother-in-law Jan and Cecil Olson of Belle Plaine, Minnesota 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren. Jerald is preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers; Don Keeling, Roy Keeling, and Kenneth Keeling.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2008, at Living Water Church of the Nazarene in Cedar Falls, Iowa with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2008, at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly and for an hour prior to service time at the church on Saturday. Memorials may be directed to the family. Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly is in charge of arrangements.
