Mrs. Bessie Johnson and her daughter, Mrs. Richard Tryhus of Fargo, North Dakota, attended the funeral services of Howard M. Helgevold, 63. of Fort Dodge at the St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Fort Dodge Saturday. Howard Helgevold had been a former resident of Eagle Grove. He died of a heart attack Wednesday. He is survived by his wife, one son, Thomas Helgevold of Mason, Mich., one daughter, Mrs. Jack Gallaway of Woodland Hills, Calif, and three grandchildren. He is also survived by four sisters and four brothers, Mrs. Bessie Johnson of Clarion, Mrs. R. W. Henderson of Humboldt, Mrs. Rose Fitzgerald, Fort Dodge and Mrs. A. P. Boer of Duncanville, Tex.; Bert, Arthur and Carroll of Eagle Grove and Joseph of Ayrshire. Mr. Helgevold was born in Eagle Grove, and he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hans Helgevold. He was associated with the Potgeter Grain Company in Eagle Grove before moving to Fort Dodge in 1944. For the past ten years he had been president of the Allied Grain company in Fort Dodge and was treasurer of Lutheran Hospital. He was a member of the Eagle Grove Masonic orders.
