HUMBOLDT — Dianna M. DeLaney, 61, of Humboldt, Iowa passed away December 14, 2007 at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 17, 2007 at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Humboldt with the Rev. Gene Broughton officiating. She will be laid to rest in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery at Hardy. Visitation with the family will be from 5-8 p.m. today (Sunday) at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt.

Mrs. DeLaney is survived by her husband, Jack, of Humboldt; children, Teri (Ron) Cerwick of Hardy, Marc (Carolyn) Ashley of Alexandria, VA, Tammie (Wayne) Monaghan-Tuttle of Hardy, and Sara (David) Applegate of Goldfield; grandchildren, Nathan Brockman, Hudson and Harper Ashley, Amy, Teresa, Megan, and Madison Tuttle, and Kelsy, Dakota, and Dylan Applegate; great grandchild, Chase Long; brother, Gary Brockman of Humboldt; sisters, Sharon Heid of Huntington Beach, CA, Sandra (Larry) Schultz of Dakota City, Connie Reed of Huntington Beach, CA, Kathy (Mike) Knowles of Humboldt, and Jana (Russell) Waki of Rossmoor, CA; and aunt Shirley (Tuffy) Kiley of Dakota City. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandchildren, David Applegate and Christopher Monaghan; and brother, James Hamilton.

Dianna Marie Brockman, the daughter of George and Bertha (Knudson) Brockman, was born September 27, 1946 at Fort Dodge, Iowa and was raised and educated at Humboldt. Following her education, Dianna made her home at Humboldt where she raised her four children and worked as a nurse’s aid for the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital and Humboldt Nursing Homes. She also served as an authorized day care provider for Humboldt County. In 1980, she met Jack DeLaney and on August 16, 1991, the couple was united in marriage at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church. Dianna enjoyed cooking, baking and raising flowers. She loved the winter months and enjoyed attending craft sales and decorating her home with snowmen. Dianna’s greatest love was for her family and following her retirement in 2003, continued to provide day care for her grandchildren. She avidly followed her grandchildren’s events, cheering them on in softball, baseball, basketball, flag football, soccer, hockey, volleyball, and wrestling. Memorials may be made to the discretion of the family.
