Fort Dodge Messenger, IowaHARDY, IA — Harlee D. Moore, 66, of Hardy, passed away March 18, 2008 at the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Zion Lutheran Church in Humboldt with the Rev. J.K. Raether and Rev. Aaron Flatau officiating. Interment will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Auburn. Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt. Mr. Moore is survived by his wife, Aylene Moore of Hardy; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jon and Joyce Bahrenfus of Ogden; an uncle; and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Harlee Dean Moore, the son of Eddie and Gladys (Nelson) Moore, was born January 8, 1942 at his parents' home near Hardy. He attended school at Livermore and Vernon Consolidated and graduated from Twin Rivers High School. Following his education, Harlee began farming. He was united in marriage to Aylene Bahrenfus on December 6, 1970 at Sac City. The couple made their home on their acreage near Hardy. In 1993, Harlee went to work for the Hardy COOP, which later became Gold-Eagle Cooperative until his retirement in July of last year. Mr. Moore was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. He enjoyed attending auctions, woodworking, and reading.
