A memorial service for Emily Catherine Gordon of Forest Grove, Oregon will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Hillsboro United Methodist Church. Mrs. Gordon died Wednesday in a Portland hospital of injuries sustained in an automobile collision in Hillsboro. She was 91. She was born Feb. 7, 1902, in Monticello, Ill., and was raised and schooled in Humboldt, Iowa. Her maiden name was Dresback. She married Floyd T. Gordon on March 12, 1932, in Hardy, Iowa. Mrs. Gordon was a homemaker. She moved to the Washington County area in 1942 and had owned and operated the Children's Shop in Forest Grove for a number of years. She also had led knitting classes in area schools. Mrs. Gordon was an active member of the Hillsboro United Methodist Church. Survivors in addition to her husband include her daughter, Mary Lee Boeck of Aloha; son, Thomas C. of Banks; sister, Pearl Fritz of Phoenix, Ariz.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Private interment will be in Valley Memorial Park in Hillsboro. The family suggests remembrances be contributions to the Oregon division of the American Cancer Society.
