Temecula--Services for Barbara Jean Spencer, 65, will be at 11 a.m. today in Hillside Chapel at Rose Hills Cemetery in Whittier. She died of cancer on Friday at her Temecula residence. Burial will follow at Rose Hills Cemetery. Valley Funeral Home in Murrieta is handling the arrangements. Mrs. Spencer was born in Hardy, Iowa, and had lived in Temecula for six years. She had an associate degree in dental assisting from Los Angeles City College. She enjoyed sewing, bowling, crafts, water skiing and gardening. She was a former Job's Daughters queen. Mrs. Spencer is survived by her husband, Robert; a son, Michael of Temecula; four daughters, Shirley Dunn of Santa Ana, Suzanne Duckworth of Temecula, Donna Thagard of Villa Park and Deanna of Mission Viego; a brother, Jim Krutsinger of Temecula; and nine grandchildren. The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
