Bret M. Miller, 17, a resident of Dixon, Iowa died on Saturday, May 26, 2007 in an automobile accident near Dixon. His funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday, June 1, 2007 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Long Grove, Iowa. Burial will be in Dixon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday at Chambers Funeral Home, Eldridge, Iowa. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. He was born July 8, 1989 in Webster City, Iowa, the son of Shawn and Teri (Besaw) Miller. Bret was a senior at North Scott High School scheduled to graduate on May 27th and worked at Paul Revere Pizza in Eldridge. Racing was a big part of Bret’s life and he was an avid fan of Tony Stewart. This past spring, Bret was the 2nd Place Overall winner at High School Days at the Cordova Drag Strip.

Those left to honor his memory include his mother & step-father, Teri & Steve Laughlin of Dixon; his father, Shawn Miller of Webster City; his sister, Aletha of Dixon; his grandparents, Gary & Linda Besaw of Webster City, Mike & Jean Miller of Webster City, Sandy Laughlin of Davenport and Terry Laughlin of Davenport; his great-grandparents, Alta & Arthur Peterson of Ft. Dodge, Iowa and Jim & Jan Laughlin of Moscow, Iowa; his great-great grandmother, Anna Orr of Eagle Grove, Iowa; and many close friends.
