FARNHAMVILLE — Funeral services for Marie Lee will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. from the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Farnhamville with Pastor Tim Geitz officiating. Interment was made in the Reading Township Cemetery near Farnhamville. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Brown Funeral Home in Lohrville.

Marie was the daughter of Joe and Marie (Valkmer) Hirschberg and was born July 24, 1910, on a farm west of Farnhamville, Iowa. She passed away Dec. 6, 2007, at the Gowrie Care Center. Marie grew up on the family farm and attended country school. On Nov. 10, 1945, Marie Hirschberg was united in marriage to Edmund Lee of Thor, Iowa. The couple farmed south of Fort Dodge for 14 years and then moved to the family farm west of Farnhamville. Edmund passed away on Christmas Day in 1983 and in 1984, Marie moved into Farnhamville. In November of 2005 Marie became a resident of the Gowrie Care Center. Marie was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Farnhamville and a member of the Helping Hands Circle, Ladies Aid, Senior Citizens, and the Lohrville VFW Auxiliary.

Marie is survived by two brothers, Joe and Edwin Hirschberg of Lohrville; special friends, Rudy and Jeannine Kopecky; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother, Alfred.
