PIPESTONE, Minn. - Millie S. Gilmore, 92, died Saturday, May 26, 2001, at the Pipestone County Medical Center. She was born May 16, 1909, to John and Isabelle (Thompson) Hovick, on the family farm near Vincent, Iowa. As a young girl, she moved with her family to Amboy, Minn. They later moved to a farm east of Ihlen, Minn., where she was raised and received her formal education. She married Donald Gilmore on June 27, 1928. They lived on the family farm southwest of Pipestone. They later moved into Pipestone, and Don began selling farm equipment. Her husband preceded her in death. Following her husband's death, Miller moved into the Ridge View Estates apartments in Nov, 1999. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pipestone. Survivors include two son, Duane of LaCygne, Kan. Darrell of Sioux Falls one daughter, Dee Deuth of Pipestone 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Faith Community Church in Pipestone. Burial will be in Old Woodlawn Cemetery in Pipestone. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Hartquist Funeral Chapel in Pipestone.
