Lee Anna Arielle Kastler, 27, of Red Wing, died Thursday at her home. She was born July 15, 1981, in Colorado Springs, Colo., the daughter of Lou and Kristi (Koenig) Kastler, and moved with her family to Minnesota in 1990. A 2000 graduate of Zumbrota-Mazeppa High School, she had practiced Tae Kwon Do since she was in middle school, and also was a manager of the high school girls basketball team. After graduation, she took EMT training. A cat lover, she was a volunteer for an animal rescue program, where she found two of her cats, Smokey and Shadow. Most recently had worked for Marion's Midway. She had a mechanical side and enjoyed fixing things; she also enjoyed gardening and all of her cats, including Pumpkin and Squirt.
She is survived by her father, Lou (Joan) Kastler of Blair, Neb.; her mother, Kristi Kastler of Red Wing; her maternal grandmother, Avis Koenig of Red Wing; her paternal grandmother, Marilyn Kastler of Mazeppa; a brother, Richard Kastler of Blair; three half-siblings, Tabitha, Jimmy and Ricky Stallins; two step-siblings, Samantha and Mitch Creamer of Blair; and her birth mother, Betty Stallins. She was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, David Koenig, and paternal grandfather, Richard Kastler, and her birth father.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel. Burial will be at a later date at the French Church Cemetery in Woolstock, Iowa. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service.
