MASON CITY — Eleanor M. "Johnson" Dawson, 79, of 20½ Second St. N.E., died at his home. Private family graveside services will be held at a later date. Interment will be in the Kanawha Cemetery. Major-Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave., is in charge of arrangements.

Eleanor M. Dawson was born April 26, 1919, in Goodell. Survivors include two daughters, Lorraine Heinold of Mason City, and Elaine Miller of Mason City; two sons, Harold Johnson of Sun City, Calif., and Keith Johnson of Mason City; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Carol King of Mason City, and Virginia McClung of Mason City; and three brothers, Gailerd Erickson and Jay Erickson, both of Mason City, and James Erickson of Happy Camp, Calif. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, and one half-sister.
