Blanche Farrell Shelton, 92, passed away at the Concord Manor Nursing Home, Garner, Iowa, early Saturday morning, October 23, 1971, following a lingering illness. Mrs. Shelton was born April 21, 1879 in Iowa County and has been a resident of the Corwith area for many years. She was married to Charles Shelton on November 26, 1902, in Corwith, Iowa, where they were engaged in farming. They retired in 1944 and moved to Kanawha, Iowa. She has been a resident of Concord Manor since 1964. She received her education in the grade schools and was a member of the United Methodist Church of Kanawha.

Mrs. Shelton is survived by 3 daughters: Mrs. Lenora Carpenter of Goodell, Iowa; Mrs. Elva Eenhuis of Forest City; Mrs. Mildred Hulberg of Reedsburg, Wisconsin; two sons: Dale Shelton of Goodell, Iowa; and Jim Shelton of Marshalltown, Iowa; 18 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; 4 sisters; 5 brothers; and 3 grandchildren.
