Hazel Ratcliff, 92, of Webster City, died Monday, October 2, 2006 at the Southfield Wellness Community. Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Foster Funeral & Cremation Center with Pastor Gerald Caquelin officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to services on Friday at the funeral home.

Hazel Lillian Mourlam, daughter of Joe and Emma Kastler Mourlam was born on February 22, 1914 east of Woolstock. She received her education in the Woolstock area. On August 14, 1945, she married Gerald Raymond Ratcliff on the Ratcliff family farm north of Webster City where the couple made their home. She worked for many years at the Woolworth's Department Store until her retirement. Mr. Ratcliff died on October 19, 1976. Following her husbands's death, she moved to Clarion to live with her sister. In 1993, she moved to the Southfield Wellness Community.

Mrs. Ratcliff is survived by many nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Mary Mourlam of Webster City and Betty Hill of Fort Dodge. In addition to her husband Gerald, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Louis and George Mourlam; sisters, Nellie Thompson, Mabel Claude, Edna and Ethel Mourlam, and Florence Heck.
