Venetta Kepler, 69, Des Moines, formerly of Webster City, died Sunday, Jan. 13, at her home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 16, at 1:30 p.m. at the Foster Funeral Home in Webster City. Burial will be in the Cass Center Cemetery, Webster City. Visitation at the Foster Funeral Home in Webster City is after 7 p.m. today until time of service Wednesday.

Venetta Mae Yoder, daughter of Grover and Gertrude (Fisher) Yoder, was born Nov. 10, 1921, in Woolstock. She was educated in rural schools near Woolstock. She married James William Kepler on May 21, 1937. The couple farmed in the Stonega area, and following Mr. Kepler's discharge from the U.S. Army in 1946, they resided in Webster City until 1947, when they moved to Des Moines. Mr. Kepler preceded her in death on Feb. 8, 1977, and she continued to reside in Des Moines.

She is survived by three daughters and a son, Marlene (Mrs. John) Grove, Sandra (Mrs. Alvin) Snyder and Garnet Kepler, all of Des Moines, James G. Kepler, Webster City; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers and six sisters, Bernard Yoder, Tacoma, Wash.; Faye (Mrs. Larry) Moser, and Frances (Mrs. Donald) Lindstrom, both of Eagle Grove; Margaret (Mrs. Lester) Strangeland, Jewell; Grover "Shorty" Yoder, Woolstock; Lela (Mrs. Earl) La Rue, and Kay Thomas, both of Des Moines; and Theresa Tindall, Mason City; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a daugher, Merly; two grandchildren, Janelle Grove and Christy Kepler; three brothers, Cedric, Donald and Martin.

Mrs. Kepler was a former member of the Woolstock United Methodist Church. Memorials may be given to the Woolstock United Methodist Church of the Heart Fund
