Nellie Krieger Thompson, 91, of Clarion died Saturday morning, April 7, 1990 at her home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 10 at 3 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home in Webster City with Rev. Edward Masters officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery in Webster City. Friends may call at Foster Funeral Home after 4 p.m. today (Monday, April 9).
Nellie Mae Mourlam, daughter of Joseph and Emma Kastler Mourlam, was born March 1, 1899 on a farm east of Woolstock. She attended Waterman School in Wall Lake Township in Wright County. On Dec. 23, 1925, she married Harry Krieger in Clarion. The couple farmed northeast of Woolstock until 1948 when they moved to Webster City. Following her husband's death on Jan. 1, 1957, she continued to reside in Webster City. In April of 1965, she married Harold Thompson at Austin, Minn. The couple resided in Clarion. Following her second husband's death on Sept. 11, 1984, she continued to reside in Clarion.
Survivors include one son, Loren Krieger of Woolstock; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two sister, Florence (Mrs. Carl) Heck of Dodge Center, Minn., and Hazel Ratcliff of Clarion. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, one granddaughter, one great-granddaughter, two brothers and four sisters. She was a member of the former French Church. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or the Heart Fund.
