H. F. Krieger Died Tuesday

Harry F. Krieger, 60, died at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday at his home 1513 First street. He had been in ill health for several years. Funeral services will be a 2 p.m. Thursday at the Foster funeral home with the Rev. Paul Clement officiating and with burial in Graceland cemetery.

Harry Fred Krieger, son of Andrew and Justine Krieger, was born April 11, 1896 on a farm near Hinckley, Ill. The family later moved to a farm near Serna, Ill. When he was seven years old he came with his parents to Iowa, locating on a farm in Wright county, near Woolstock. He received his education in Wright county and grew to young manhood in the Woolstock community. He was united in marriage Dec. 23, 1925, to Nellie Mourlam, and Mr. and Mrs. Krieger farmed near Woolstock until 1948, when they retired and moved into Webster City.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Loren of Woolstock and Weldon of Webster City; seven grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Justine Krieger of Webster City, and a sister, Mrs. James (Ida) Walsh of Webster City, He was preceded in death by one son, Gary Lee, who died in infancy, and by his father. Mr. Krieger was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a member of the Lutheran church.
