Dale S. Hall, 82, of Modesto, California and formerly a 16-year resident of Palm Desert died March 31, 2004, in Granite Bay of heart failure.

He was born to Charles and Fanny Hall on Dec. 15, 1921, in Renwick, Iowa. He was the owner of Dick and Dales in Redwood City for 37 years and served in the Coast Guard from 1942 to 1945. He was a member of The Lakes Country Club for 16 years.

He is survived by his wife, Joy Hall of Modesto; his daughter, Tammy Gunderson of Granite Bay; his son, Mark Hall of Oceanside; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Memorial services and a celebration of his life will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bayside Church in Granite Bay. Arrangements are under the direction of Neptune Society. The family suggests that donations be made to a charity of choice.

HALL Dale S. - 82 of Modesto CA died on March 31 2004 in Granite Bay CA of a heart attack. Dale was born in Renwick IA to Charles and Fanny Hall Dec. 15 1921. He married Joy on Aug. 30 1942 in Minden NV. He was the founder and business owner of Dick and Dale's in Redwood City for 37 years. He was a past member of the Palo Alto Hills Golf and CC. the Lakes Country Club in Palm Desert the Elks of Redwood City and Modesto and the exchange Club of Redwood City. Dale served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1942-1945.
