Sister Marie Wilfrid Seng, OP, died March 23, 2008. Professed in 1947, Sr. Marie Wilfrid ministered in the culinary arts and as a housekeeper in the following convents: Edgewood, Madison, WI; Annunciation, Minneapolis; Sacred Heart, Eagle Grove, IA; St. James, Ventnor, NJ; Annunciation, Green Bay, WI; Corpus Christi, New York; St. Rose of Lima, Baltimore, MD; and St. Mary, Evanston, IL. She also ministered as the sacristan and support staff at the Motherhouse, Sinsinawa, and as an aide at St. Thomas School, Kenosha, WI, and St. Basil School, Chicago. May she rest in peace.

SINSINAWA, Wis. — Dominican Sister Marie Wilfrid Seng died March 23 at St. Dominic Villa, Sinsinawa. The Mass of Resurrection was held in Queen of the Rosary Chapel at Sinsinawa March 27, followed by burial in the Motherhouse Cemetery.
She ministered in the culinary arts and as a housekeeper for 21 years; as the sacristan at the Motherhouse, Sinsinawa, for 12 years; and as a tutor/aide for two years. Sister Marie Wilfrid served in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, New Jersey, New York and Maryland. In the Diocese of Camden, Sister Marie Wilfrid ministered as the housekeeper at St. James, Ventnor,1951-56.

She is survived by one sister, Mary Roob; two brothers, Joseph Seng and Mark Seng; nieces; nephews; grandnieces; grandnephews; and her Dominican Sisters with whom she shared life for 60 years. Memorials may be made to the Sinsinawa Dominicans, 585 County Road Z, Sinsinawa, WI, 53824-9701.
