31 October 1860 --- 29 January 1901
Anna Oler was born October 31, 1860. She came to Iowa in March 1890 and has lived in Dows and vicinity ever since. She was married to Charles Jetmund, January 31, 1900, and died at the home of her mother, at 11 o'clock, January 29, 1901. She left a babe two days old. She underwent an operation for the removal of a cancer last July, in Cherokee, and the operation not being successful she was obliged to submit to another a few months later, at the home of her mother. She never fully recovered and has been a patient sufferer ever since. She was the senior member of the millinery firm of Oler Sisters, where she added numerous friends to her already long list. She was a hard worker and was always ready to assist her friends in time of trouble. The funeral services were held at the M.E. Church, at 2 o'clock, January 31, under the direction of the Royal Neighbors, of which lodge she was a member, Rev. Troutman preaching the sermon. The body was laid to rest in Mt. Hope cemetery. Mourned by a
loving husband, mother, sisters, brothers and a large circle of friends and acquaintances, who can not help feeling that it is sad that one with so many ties to hold her here should be thus taken away, but one who sees the end from the beginning has said, "Enter, and health forevermore."
