Lord died at the home of her daughter, Mrs L. E. Metcalf, Friday Nov. 30,1888

Mrs. Caroline Lord aged 82yrs

Mrs. Lord had been sick for a long time and was affected with blindness and at such an advanced age no doubt death came to her as a relief. She was a mother of 13 children, 11 of whom are alive. Her aged Husband passed away but a few years ago and now she has gone to join him in the great beyond, Deceased was a consistent Christian and industrious wife who had stood the hardships and privations of pioneer life, and a fond Mother. Her funeral accrued Sunday at the M.E. Church and her remains were laid to rest beside those of her Husband in the Franklin Grove Cemetery, Belmond,Iowa. She has well earned the sublime simplicity can he say to her. Well done, thou good and faithful servant.
