Mrs. Bertha Luick, 88, of 318 S. Harrison St., died Tuesday afternoon at St. Luke's hospital. She had entered the hospital on October 20. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Vertins Funeral Home. Burial will be at Wahpeton, North Dakota. Bertha Gunderson was born December 8, 1873 at Ackley, IA, and later moved to Belmond, IA. She was married to Charles G. Luick in 1896 and they made their home in Eagle Grove, IA. They later lived in several places in North Dakota before moving to Wahpeton. Mr. Luick preceded her in death in 1940. Since then, Mrs. Luick had lived in the homes of her two daughters. For the past 6 years, she had lived in Aberdeen and had spent much of that time in St. Luke's hospital. Survivors include one son, Homer, of Minneapolis, MN; two daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Opal) Le Duc of Aberdeen, and Mrs. George (Dorthea) Zentgraf of Mesquite, TX; one sister, Mrs. Edith Hougan of Sioux City, IA; three brothers, E. Gunderson of Northfield, MN, Gus Gunderson of Brainerd, MN, and Ole Gunderson of CA.
