Mrs. Ruth Ann Whipple Wood, 65, of 311 Melbourne Road died Nov. 14, 1992, at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Buffalo Presbyterian Church cemetery. A native of Belmond, Iowa, she was a homemaker and a member of Buffalo Presbyterian Church. Surviving are husband, James A. Wood; daughter, Ms. Melanie Wood of Jamestown; son, Kevin A. Wood of Little Rock, Ark.; brothers, Duane Whipple, Leslie Whipple, both of Belmond, Iowa; two grandchildren. The family will be at Hanes-Lineberry North Elm Street Funeral Home 7-9 tonight.
